Spencer House Partners LLP ("SHP") was established in London in 2006. Its purpose is to provide merchant banking services to companies in the financial services industry with a particular focus on asset and wealth management businesses.

We offer strategic advice to firms, their shareholders and those interested in investing in the industry. Such advice can relate to the sale or purchase of a strategic stake or controlling interest, recapitalisation, merger, IPO or other transaction. Since formation, we have provided advice on transactions within each of these categories.

We are also in a position to arrange equity investments in businesses we believe to be attractive. Such investments are made typically when the investee company believes that we can make an important contribution to the success and development of the business. That contribution might be through advice on strategy, financing, acquisitions, client identification and introduction, marketing, recruitment, or with the development and execution of a sale strategy. We do not normally seek control positions, preferring to make investments in businesses where we can support an existing management team, often the founders of the business, providing assistance with a new stage of the company’s development.

Since inception, SHP has advised on announced deals totalling $4 billion by value and with aggregate AUM of over $200 billion.
