Andrew Malcolm
Andrew Malcolm is a Partner and a Principal of SHP, having been with the firm since its inception.
Prior to joining SHP in September 2005, he was a senior Vice President at Bear Stearns International Limited, the European arm of the New York based investment bank. Andrew joined the investment banking team at Bear Stearns in May 2000, where his responsibilities included client coverage, transaction origination and execution, principally within the European telecoms and media space.
Prior to joining Bear Stearns, he worked in the corporate finance department of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, with coverage including UK Transaction Support, Telecom & Media and Consumer Products.
For the last five years, Andrew has focused exclusively on the financial services sector, and in particular on asset management and wealth management.
Andrew has been closely involved in all of the principal investment transactions completed to date by SHP and firms which he has advised include BlueBay, Martin Currie, Thornhill, SRL Global, Knight Frank and DP Property Europe.
During his career, Andrew has advised on a broad range of transactions across industry sectors including M&A, IPO and equity financings, seed funding, debt financings, capital restructuring, leveraged finance and LBOs, valuation and fairness opinions, joint ventures, capital markets and strategic advisory mandates.
Andrew Malcolm received a BA (Honours) in Biological Sciences from Oxford University.
