Jeremy Sillem

Jeremy Sillem is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of SHP.  Prior to establishing SHP, he was the Chairman of Bear, Stearns International Limited, from May 2000 until January 2004.

Prior to joining Bear Stearns, Jeremy spent a 28 year career with Lazard LLC and its predecessor entities. From 1985 to 1995 he worked for Lazard Frères & Co, New York where he was the general partner responsible for equity sales, trading and research and then for all corporate finance. In 1995, he returned to Europe to create and run Lazard Capital Markets for the three Lazard firms in New York, London and Paris.

During his 35-year career, Jeremy has advised numerous companies within the financial services sector and worked on a broad range of transactions. He has advised on IPO transactions, closed end fund and permanent capital vehicles and M&A transactions for equity, fixed income and real estate management firms both in the US and Europe.

Currently, Jeremy Sillem is Chairman of the World Trust Fund, a London Stock Exchange-listed investment company; a director of RHJ International, a diversified holding company listed on the First Market of Euronext Brussels; a director of Martin Currie (Holdings) Limited, a privately held equities fund manager; a director of Harbourmaster Capital (Holdings) Limited, a privately held European-based leveraged loan manager; and a director of Portillion Limited, a privately held UK mortgage lender.

He is also a member of the Hoegh Capital Partners Hedge Fund Advisory Committee, the Advisory Board of Partners Capital Investment Group, the Investment Committee of Brasenose College Oxford and serves as an Advisory Director of Reform, the London based public policy think tank. From 1994 to 2004 he was a member of the International Capital Markets Committee of the New York Stock Exchange.
